With our Carnival just a few days away, it’s important to remember that it’s all happening thanks to the support of local businesses.

First organised in 1972, the Royal Wootton Bassett Carnival traditionally draws large crowds to watch the entertainment. Highlight of the day is the Carnival procession, with colourful floats and marching bands, which makes its way around the town to the grand finale in the High Street.

Our Lead Sponsor this year is Awdry, Bailey & Douglas solicitors, a Wiltshire based firm with offices in Royal Wootton Bassett. Our sponsors are absolutely vital to the Carnival. It costs over £4,000 to cover our expenses, paying for road closures, insurance costs and the professional acts in the procession.

Without the generous support of our highly valued local business sponsors, it just wouldn’t happen. The Carnival brings out the very best in our great Royal Wootton Bassett community, where everyone pulls together to put on this popular event. If you enjoy the Carnival, please make sure you support all the local businesses who help to fund it.
